Takeshi Kaneshiro as the new image Citizen spokesperson for "innovative thinking"
August 1, 2010, CITIZEN (China) Co., Ltd. named Mr. Jin Chengwu,
international star, as its latest spokesperson. Meanwhile, the Citizen has
announced "great innovations and a strong will power" as the theme of the
new advertising image. It is reported that China, Hong Kong, Macau,
Taiwan, Singapore and Malaysia will be synchronized to promote the latest
Citizen advertising image.

Takeshi Kaneshiro has launched a new advertising image to let those

According to entertainment.xin.msn.com, Peter Chan will direct the remake of the 1967 One-armed Swordsman (獨臂刀) but the name of the film will be different because the director could not achieve rights to the original name.

Peter Chan has called Takeshi Kaneshiro personally to offer the role in the future movie. It is also stated that Mr.
Kanshiro has accepted the invitation saying he was interested in the character and also because of the fact that famous martial arts star Donnie Yen will also take part in the remake.

So far that is not known wether all of the actors are to participate in the project because the contracts are not signed yet. It is also early to say if Mr. Takeshi Kaneshiro is to be in "Empress Wu" but we hope he would take the offer.

Jet Li, martial arts star, and Jackie Chan are ranked on the top 10 list, but the real breakthrough is Donnie Yen who tops the rating. Takeshi Kaneshiro is the only one on the list who is under 40 - Donnie Yen, Andy Lau, Tony Leung are 40 and older; Ge You, Chow Yun Fat and Jackie Chan are past 50.
Takeshi Kaneshiro is the only one on the list representing Taiwan.
Jiang Wen, Chen Tao-ming, Xiaoqi, Chen Kun, Huang Xiaoming and Sun Honglei are close to the top ten, but still not making it.

Some i-net articles say that Takeshi Kaneshiro and Donnie Yen will be starring the new action movie by Peter Chan. The filming is to start in Yunnan in August this year. Wu Xia (武俠 - possibly the name of the film or even the genre) is planed to be released in Summer next year.

During the filming he got acquainted with another star, but that is a special star, because it is an elephant named Mr. BIG.
