As chinanews.com.cn says, Takeshi Kaneshiro announced that in 2010 he will have a bit of time for him self to recover and this means that he would not participate in the "The Smiling, Proud Wonderer" of Woo-ping Yuen (view earlier details here).
Surely that is a huge disappointment for fans that he would not take any roles this year, some even say the reason of his year rest plan to recover his health is possibly ‘cause of the troubles caused by the rumors of his marriage.

According to PR Newswire.com and The Signal Takeshi Kaneshiro is nominated in many categories for the Green Globe Film Awards.
That is an online voting system which will be presented at a Hollywood ceremony the next month (23.03.2010 - at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles - 2010 Green Globe Film Awards and Emperor's Dreams Dinner Gala).
The vote is available at MOVIE-voters.com. So, you are welcome to give your votes for the films you like and the actors you adore. Especially accounting the fact that our most loved Takeshi Kaneshiro is nominated in many categories as Asian Cultural Ambassador of the Decade, Best International Entertainer, and he is among 10 Best International Actors of the Decade. Also John Woo’s Red Cliff with Kaneshiro was nominated as Best International Drama, Best International Film and Best International Film of the Decade. The Category of Green Globe Film Awards is "Asian Films".
Besides his acting career Takeshi Kaneshiro (金城武) is involved into purchasing real estate. According to the Taiwan media resources he has recently bought a whole 20th floor of the luxury 23-story "sky villa" in a Taipei's Tienmu district. The value of the estate is 2 million yuan.

In 2003 – the top floor of the United States and the Cathay Pacific Dutch court (Taipei, Daan Road)

Another news is that Warlords premier on XBOX LIVE, AMAZON and VOD is scheduled on the 3rd of March. It will be shown in theatres on the limited US release on the 2nd of April, 2010.
