There is information that Takeshi Kaneshiro is among the actors whom famous director Chen Kaige would like to see in the role in his new movie called "Shamon Kukai" (Buddhist Monk Kukai).
When asked about that in one of the latest interviews, Chen Kaige said that he was thinking of several actors like Takeshi Kaneshiro, Hiroyuki Sanada, Ken Watanabe and some others, because the film he is going to shoot should involve a world known Asian celebrity to interest public in all Asia (read more here). So far it is unknown if there was any choice or if Mr. Takeshi Kaneshiro has received the invitation for the role, that is why we advice you to take this news only as concept. We would follow the news concerning the Chen Kaige film in further.

Yesterday – January 31, 2010, one of the Russian TV channels aired K-20: Thief with 20 faces.
The TV channel is called TB3. The TV title for the film is "Легенда о маске" (Legend of the Mask). It was aired at 11:15 am local time.
