Geneon Universal Entertainment says the Warlord release is on September 18, 2009 and the film will be sold both on DVD and Blu-ray.

The film won 3 awards on the 45th Taiwan Golden Horse Awards:

The best Visual Effects Award

And on the 27th Hong Kong Film Awards which was held on 14 April 2008, the film won 8 awards:

The Best Costume and Make Up Design

The Best Art Direction

The Best Cinematography

The release on the Blu-ray is to be 13 minutes longer than the theatrical version.

DVD of the film would cost ¥ 5,800 and the Blu-ray would cost ¥ 7,140

In accordance with What Would Toto Watch on July 18, 2009, the Blu-ray version of the House of Flying Daggers is sold on Blu-ray but it is sold on the three-set disk together with Curse of the Golden Flower  and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. And that three-set Blu-ray is available on Amazon as Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon / Curse of the Golden Flower / House of Flying Daggers Trilogy [Blu-ray].

Non-the-less the same site also sells the separate Blu-ray of the House of Flying Daggers and the cost is definitely lower (Flying Daggers Blu-ray).
