The Movie-fanatic had named John Woo’s Red Cliff among the 20 most anticipated period films (historical genre) of 2009. It stands sixth in line with such movies as Black Death, Clorious 39, Barbarian Princess, Solomon Kane, Ironclad, The Last Station, Robin Hood, The Conspirator, The Tree of Life and others. The Battle for the Red Cliff is a subject of the Chinese novel called "The Romance of the Three Kingdoms" and was written somewhere about seven hundred years ago but is still popular among the reader and even become the idea for the computer games and comic books. In December 11, 2009 there will be an official opening of the Red Cliff show in Canadian theatres, it will be shown in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver.
