And those who like computer games should read this:
Onimusha
For a long time it has been planned as a full-screen movie. In May,
2003 they planned to shoot the game-based flick called Onimusha. The
Japanese computer games company Capcom had created several games that
were later turned to movies, this time the production of the film was
overtaken by Paramount Pictures, Davis Films, and Gaga Productions. It
should cost the companies about 50 million dollars. Christophe Gans,
the director, announced in 2006 that the movie shooting had begun, and
then the budget of the film amounted to 70 million dollars. Shooting
was to start in February, 2008 in China and should be finished in 2009
with the premier in December, 2009. In June 2007 thanks to the portalaintitcool.comfans learnt that Takeshi Kaneshiro would play a leading role in the film.Ofcourse, it was great news, for he was the prototype for the main hero of the game named Samanosuke Akechi. Heath Ledgerwas to play one of the roles in the film, but with the unfortunate course the events have taken (he died January 22, 2008), the film shooting was postponed. Christophe Gans later stepped down as the director of the film. Nevertheless, it is surely known that Onimusha the movie irelease is scheduled for 2011.
