On the December 15, 2010 Shanghai Special Olympics Presidents and Vice President of Shanghai Special Care Foundation Mr. Shi Derong, a Regional EMPORIO ARMANI Spokesperson Takeshi Kaneshiro and the Chief Executive Officer of Giorgio Armani in Asia Mr. Fabrizio Dosi attended the opening of the new Emporio Armani Shop in Peninsula Hotel in Shanghai and witnessed the forming of the partnership of the ARMANI Group, Shanghai Charity Foundation, and the International Special Olympics in the East Asia.
International Special Olympics are created for the sake of children and adults with the intellectual disabilities who can participate in the daily Olympic sports training and competitions. The Olympics give opportunity for those children to develop and uncover their potential, courage in participation in the contests together with other sportsmen and provide the community members and the families who support the sportsmen with communication skills, happiness and friendship. The part of the Shanghai Emporio Armani Shop in Peninsula Hotel profit will be donated to the Special Olympics in the East Asia through the Special Care Olympic Foundation in Shanghai since December this year.
